IGS Energy Champions a Champion
Harrison Ringel is a motorcycle enthusiast and a 2010 national champion in the West East Racing Association (WERA) novice division in two Super Stock races - quite an accomplishment for a young man of 14 years.
All things being equal, the pace at which Harrison progressed from child-bicyclist to champion-motorcyclist would suffice to demonstrate his dedication, enthusiasm, and determination in life. But, all things are not equal. In the final stages of the 2008 racing season Harrison found himself battling headaches and fatigue, and in November 2008, Harrison was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL).
While limited in his racing activities throughout 2009, the determination he brought to the track reflected the determination with which Harrison has confronted his chemotherapy, a watershed stroke, and radiation. Sadly, he has also lost friends to the disease --- something most youths would never have to experience. Yet, despite the challenges laid at his feet Harrison has prevailed, his disease in remission and a full recovery expected.
"We are pleased to support Harrison in his racing activities and, in some small measure, on his continuing journey," offers Scott White, President of IGS Energy. "This young man’s determination and his selfless support of others similarly stricken are truly inspirational." At IGS we believe in The Power of Tomorrow and the possibilities of the future.
