Analysts Anticipate a Sharp Rise in Natural Gas Prices Soon

Experts have been alluding to a pending shift in the natural gas market. According to Jon Wolff, analyst with global investment banking firm Jeffries, we could see some big changes to natural gas pricing over the next year.

There are several key reasons for this prediction, including a dramatic downturn in the number of operational natural gas rigs; increase in Mexican gas exports; and the time necessary to ramp up production (up to nine months) as demand grows could also contribute to price spike.

Internet of Things (IoT) Devices Installed to Create Smart Sustainability in Urban Environments

Nearly 20,000 small sensors are generating big data in the northern Spanish coastal town of Santander. Thousands of sensors have been installed throughout the city, capturing information on everything from environmental conditions to affect irrigation planning to noise and emissions readings.

Santander is positioning itself to become one of the most technologically-advanced cities in the world by taking part in the project. The initiative is designed to more clearly understand the needs associated with serving a greater number of people living in cities.

New Compressed Natural Gas Fueling Station to Serve Dayton, Ohio-Area Businesses, Residents

The push for enhanced accessibility to compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations continues. Montgomery County recently partnered with IGS CNG Services on a station in Moraine, just outside of Dayton. Operations are set to begin this summer and will serve fleets and the public.

The turn-key CNG services provider has a total of seven Ohio-based stations in operation, including one in partnership with the City of Dayton on Monument Avenue.
